We exist to enable the forgotten SMME – but the work does not stop at the funding. Beyond our desks, the Sourcefam shows up for the communities around us: rolling up our sleeves on the ground, and standing with the national causes that matter to South Africans.
Sourcefin’s community impact is the giving-back our team does beyond the funding – our corporate social investment. Led by our Community Outreach Committee, the Sourcefam dedicates time, effort and donations to children’s homes, shelters and schools, and stands with national causes through the year.
This is separate from the impact of our funding. The businesses, jobs and livelihoods our funding supports show up in our client stories – this page is about the people of Sourcefin choosing to do more.
Our Community Outreach Committee plans and runs everything you see here. The whole team gets involved: packing party packs and writing cards at our homebase, then heading out to creches, children’s homes and shelters to spend the day with the people we are there for.
It is the spirit of Ubuntu, and an extension of our values. We show up in two ways – hands-on outreach where we give our time and donations directly, and solidarity with national awareness causes that South Africans rally behind together.

The team handwrote cards and packed party packs, then repainted the palisade fencing at the Johannesburg Children’s Home – a facelift that added comfort and security for the children who live there.
